Celebrity Straps

As sports fans, we all have our favorites, our idols. We pin our hopes on these dudes season after season (not to mention sometimes our hard earned cash for you gamblin' types!) It only makes sense that the objects associated with them, their uni's, equipment and yes, their jockstraps, become collector's items. I sometimes wonder if I had the chance, which pro athlete's jock would I collect? How much would I pay? What the hell would I do with it once I had it? I love Donovan McNabb, but I can't picture myself wearing his jock around the house!

Griffey Fan

Probably one of the more well known recent incidents featuring a celebrity jockstrap is the story of the dude who got Ken Griffey Jr.'s jock during a game! Apparently Griffey had talked to the dude during the game, then later, Griffey walked up to him with a little brown paper bag which contained the slugger's strap! You can read the dude's account on his MySpace page here.

Welcum to 2009!!!

Week one of the 2009 NFL Season! I am pumped! My boy Donovan McNabb and the Eagles wiped the floor with the Panthers, one of my other favorite teams! Even with cracked ribs, Donovan managed to pull it out for a 38-10 victory. The 49ers took it over the Cardinals and Seattle killed St. Louis 28-0! So here's some fresh straps from this past week and weekend. Enjoy.
